Performances are an integral part of our school. While participation is optional, we try to offer as many performance opportunities to our students as we can. Dancing comes from the soul, and it shines through when we put our best foot forward in front of a crowd. When children perform, they learn to be confident in themselves and their abilities. In addition, we are proud to showcase this cultural dance form for many different audiences.
Here are a few events Duffy dancers have performed for:
- local school events
- assisted living communities
- community events
- country clubs
- business events
- the Harp and Shamrock Society of Gaithersburg
- the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair
- the National Irish American Heritage Month Celebration for the Office of the Judge Advocate General at the Naval Yard
- the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center's Stages of Healing Program
- the Washington, DC St. Patrick's Day Parade
- the McHenry Highland Festival
- the Baltimore Trad Festival
If you are interested in having the Duffy School of Irish Dance perform at your next event, please request a performance.
