About our Instructors
Erin Duffy Martorano, TCRG, 27, began dancing at the age of eight under the instruction of Margaret Prendergast Moebus, TCRG, as part of the Prendergast School of Irish Dance. She went on to place 3rd in the Southern Region Oireachtas, and also danced at the National and World levels. She obtained her TCRG teaching certification from An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha (the Irish Dancing Commission) in 2004, and taught under Bill Maple, ADCRG, and Marnie Maple, TCRG, and the Maple School of Irish Dance during the 2005-2006 season.
Erin graduated from McDaniel College with a Bachelor's Degree in English, and completed her Master's Certificate in Graphic Design. She lives in Damascus with her husband Vincent, dog, and two cats, and by day freelances as a graphic designer.
Casey Elizabeth Duffy, 20, began dancing at the age of 4, also with the Prendergast School. She quickly moved up to the championship level, and placed 3rd in the Southern Region Oireachtas. She has also competed at the National level. Casey currently attends Hood College and plans to pursue a career in Art Education. Casey now dances under her sister's instruction, and plans to compete at the North American National Championships in Orlando in 2010.
